Squash Information


  • We actively welcome and encourage new players to try squash and racketball.  Everything will be tailored to your ability and pace to allow you to get the most out of learning a new sport. 
  • The club currently has three gents teams in the East of Scotland Leagues competing in division one, two and five and one Ladies team competing in the East of Scotland division one
  • League Squash – We currently run the main leagues, monthly, from September to April. These consist both Premier Leagues regular leagues which cater for all standards of club player from team players to beginners and are administered via SportyHQ.
  • We also operate a Summer league which runs from the end of April to September again catering for all standards of players that want to play all year round
  • We have a very active junior squash programme at the club, run by coaches Sophie & Katy.  We also host fun and friendly tournaments for all levels throughout the year to allow juniors to put their skills to the test and to meet other juniors from across Scotland.

Racketball

Racketball is the UK’s fastest growing sport! It is played on any regular squash court and is similar to squash. In racketball a larger ball, which does not need warming up like in squash, and a shorter racket are used, as shown in the video.

The fact that the ball is bigger, more bouncy and does not need warming up means that the rallies last longer, as the ball moves slower giving the opponent more time to react and get to the ball.
